Volunteer Benefits
New for the 2026–2027 season! To recognize the significant time and commitment of our leadership volunteers, CBA is introducing registration benefits for eligible leadership positions.
We appreciate the time and dedication of our volunteers. The following registration benefits are available for eligible leadership positions:
- Team General Managers (GMs): Receive 50% off one child's league registration.
- Directors: Receive one free player registration.
- Executive Board Members: Receive one free player registration plus an annual stipend based on their board position and responsibilities.
Family Participation
We encourage families to volunteer together. Members of the same household may serve simultaneously as Directors and/or Team General Managers (GMs).
To maintain balanced leadership and governance, only one member of the same household may serve on the Executive Board at a time.
Registration benefits apply to one child per eligible volunteer unless otherwise approved by the Executive Board.
Ways to Get Involved
CBA relies on volunteers throughout the season to help keep things running smoothly. Opportunities include:
- Evaluations
- Game-day support
- Events and special activities
- Team support
- Other league needs throughout the season
Not ready for a leadership role? Families can still complete their volunteer hours through a variety of one-time opportunities during the season.
Volunteer Fee & Opportunities
Each CBA family is charged a $75 volunteer fee as part of registration. The fee will be refunded after the season ends if your family completes at least four (4) volunteer hours during the season. Coaching counts toward your volunteer hours.
There are plenty of ways to help throughout the season, including evaluations, game-day needs, events and other league support.
Open Director Positions for 2026–2027
Interested in making a difference in the CBA? We're looking for volunteers to join our leadership team in the following roles:
Director of Sponsorship
Secure sponsorships and build relationships with local businesses to support league programs and events.
Director of Events
Plan and coordinate league events, including Picture Day, Dine & Shares, Windy City Bulls Night, and other league-sponsored activities.
Future Treasurer (2027–2028)
Work alongside the current Treasurer during the 2026–2027 season to learn the role and prepare to transition into the Treasurer position the following year.
No prior nonprofit board experience is required. An accounting or bookkeeping background is helpful but not required. We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
