The CBA is a non-profit organization that strives to provide a cost-effective recreational basketball league for families in Cary and the surrounding area. The CBA uses registration fees to pay gym rental rates, referee fees, and other operational costs to manage the league. Although we primarily use public school gym spaces for practices and games, these gym fees represent about half of our annual costs. Here is a breakdown of CBA expenditures from the 2024-2025 season.

Notes:
Labor Costs = Referees, Scorekeepers, etc.
Operational Costs = Bank charges, Software, Coach background checks, Storage rental fees, etc.
Insurance & Professional Fees = Liability insurance, Accounting fees, Legal fees for operating a non-profit organization
Other = Costs for March Madness and All Star Weekends, Advertising, etc.
For the 2025-2026 season, the registration fee for each league takes these costs and other factors into account, resulting in a weekly cost per player of $18-27.
